About each of the therapies I use:
Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) is a type of sound therapy that involves passing pure low frequency sine wave vibrations into the body via a device with embedded speakers. This therapy was developed in Norway by Olav Skille in the 1980s. Vibroacoustic therapy uses low frequency sinusoidal vibrations between 30 and 120Hz. This is similar to the range of subwoofers or vibrating theater seating. 40 Hz specifically has been widely studied in vibroacoustic therapy and a number of fields as well. (source Wikipedia)
Sound bed therapy is when harmonious sounds and vibrations act on the body, producing a state of resonance or entrainment. This is where the body's natural frequency aligns with these external vibrations, promoting a state of balance and harmony.(source Bioharmonic Technologies)
Enhances
Well-Being
The frequencies are developed to promote a meditative state and deep relaxation. This therapy aims at balancing the body mind connection, thus allowing one's body to heal itself in its own natural way. Sound bed therapy is the best in delivering a powerful sensory experience that helps people to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally. VAT is the best at targeting a specific intention or ailment.
Increased
Relaxation
Sound bed therapy distinguishes itself from traditional relaxation techniques through its use of vibrational sound frequencies that provide a multi-sensory experience. Unlike methods like meditation or deep breathing, which primarily engage the mind, sound bed therapy involves physical sensations of sound waves directly resonating through the body. This creates a deeply immersive experience, fostering profound relaxation and healing. While techniques like yoga or massage focus on physical or mindful practices, sound bed therapy uniquely combines auditory stimulation with tactile sensation, offering a holistic approach that simultaneously addresses mental, emotional, and physical well-being, making it a standout in the realm of relaxation therapies.
Better
Sleep
VAT and Sound bed therapy also has a profound impact on sleep quality and patterns. These soft sounds and vibrations help calm your mind down and get your body ready for sleep. It is a life-changing therapy for people suffering from insufficient sleep, disturbed sleep, or insomnia. The sound frequencies used can help synchronize brainwave patterns, promoting deeper and more restful sleep. Improved sleep not only enhances physical health but also contributes to better mental and emotional well-being.
Increased Focus and Concentration
In our fast-paced world, maintaining concentration and mental clarity can be challenging. The specific frequencies used in the therapy are known to enhance cognitive functions. It is a helpful tool for quieting the brain's noise, allowing an individual to concentrate more clearly. This aspect is of importance to many people who are challenged by attention disorders or those who want to boost cognitive functions for personal goals or in the workplace.
Enhanced
Mindfulness
Even when we do get time for ourselves it's tough to remain undistracted, even if no one else is around. The mind is easily scattered and is usually everywhere except in the moment we want it to be. VAT and Sound bed therapy help enable you to truly access the present, to really be in the now and let go of attachment to the past and thoughts of the future.
Stress
Reduction
One of the most notable benefits of sound bed therapy is its effect on the nervous system, particularly in stress reduction. The therapy utilizes vibroacoustic stimulation based on stress-relaxing sounds. Sound bed therapy induces the function of the parasympathetic nervous system that controls rest and digestion functions of the body, and this helps in reducing stress markers like elevated heart rate and blood pressure. This relaxation response is crucial in a world where chronic stress results in atherosclerosis, diabetes and immune malfunction. Regular sessions of sound bed therapy can thus play a vital role in maintaining overall health by keeping stress levels in check.
Physical Health Benefits
While primarily recognized for its mental and emotional benefits, both VAT and Sound bed Therapy offers significant physical health advantages. Their impacts on the nervous system, sleep patterns, and pain management underscores their roles as comprehensive wellness tools. Through 40 years of VAT research on various health conditions. Through the certification process, I have studied certain frequencies specifically designed to assist with certain physical ailments/conditions
Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression, two of the most common mental health issues, can profoundly impact one's quality of life. VAT and Sound bed therapy offers a non-invasive, calming experience that can help alleviate these conditions. The therapy employs specific frequencies known to induce a state of relaxation, which can reduce the hyperarousal associated with anxiety. The soothing nature of the sounds helps in slowing down the mind, offering a respite from the constant stream of anxious thoughts. For those battling depression, sound bed therapy can act as a mood elevator. Such soft vibrations and melodies might stimulate the production of neurotransmitters called dopamine and serotonin, which are usually known as "feel-good" hormones.
